Guide to the best resources for musicians and music educators

Naxos Library

Naxos for Mobile Devices

Use the Naxos app to listen to personal course playlists on your phone or search the Naxos catalog for more tracks. To get started:

1) ON YOUR PHONE: Download the Naxos application from your phone's app store (iTunes Store & Google Play). Note that there are different apps for the classical Naxos Music Library (NML) and the Naxos Music Library Jazz (NML Jazz).

2) ON YOUR COMPUTER: Create a Naxos student/member playlist account login.

3) ON YOUR E-MAIL: Confirm the registration e-mail by clicking on the link sent by Naxos

4) ON YOUR PHONE: Open the app (not the website) and use the Naxos login you just created (not your UNR NetID)

TIPS:

  • Find your personal playlists under "Student Playlist"
  • Search the full catalog and browse new music using the icons on the bottom of the screen
  • LOG OUT WHEN FINISHED! Missing this step means that folders will not update!

Playlists

Members of the UNR community can log in to Naxos to search for tracks and listen to course playlists.

To begin creating private playlists, users must register with Naxos for a Student / Member Playlist Account.

Creating a Student or Member Playlist account Login:

  • Go to UNR's Naxos portal (login with your UNR NetID if off-campus).
  • Click on "playlists" in the menu bar.
  • Click on "Login/Sign Up" link, then fill in personal information.
  • Confirm the registration e-mail from Naxos.

UNR Libraries' Proxy Server Prefix

Permalinks in Naxos are available for individual playlists, works, and tracks. These permalinks can be bookmarked for use later, or they can be copied and pasted into course websites or other documents.

If you do not see "unr.idm.oclc.org" anywhere in your permalink, paste this entire prefix at the beginning of your permalink URL:
