Makerspace Intellectual Property Policy

DeLaMare Library Makerspace Intellectual Property Policy

Makerspace Intellectual Property Guidelines

Makerspace users assume all responsibility for compliance with state, federal, and university policies and laws, including those regarding copyright, patent, trademark, and other intellectual property infringement. Privacy is a core value of the University Libraries and we strive to protect your privacy and intellectual property. However, as the library is a public space we cannot guarantee complete privacy of any newly created intellectual property. As a Patent and Trademark Resource Center, the Libraries can inform users on a variety of intellectual property issues, including patents, trademarks, copyright, and Creative Commons. For more information and a full list of services available or to make a free consultation, click here: https://guides.library.unr.edu/patents For information about who owns intellectual property created on campus, the University Libraries refer users to the University of Nevada, Reno Intellectual Property Policy. The policy can be found at: https://www.unr.edu/administrative-manual/6000-6999-curricula-teaching-research/instruction-research-procedures/6507-intellectual-property-policy
