Library Catalog vs. OneSearch

There are two discovery tools that will help you find UNR library materials. This page is here to help you understand what UNR library materials can be found with each of these discovery tool.

Library Catalog

The Library Catalog will search for books, journals (not articles), films, and all other UNR library materials in the Knowledge Center, MARS, Special Collections, University Archives, Basque, DeLaMare, and Savitt.

OneSearch searches over 100 million books, eBooks, articles, and audiovisual resources, online journals, streaming audio/video, digital repositories from universities, museums, and archives.

Getting Books from Other Libraries

Link+ vs Interlibrary Loan

There are two discovery tools that will help find library materials that are not available through UNR. The page is here to help you understand which discovery tool is right for you.

Link+

Link+ is a catalog of more than 4.5 million unique titles from over 60 academic and public libraries in California and Nevada. This service allows borrowers to request a book not available at UNR from another institution.

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) is used to borrow from other libraries when books are not available in the UNR collection or through LINK+. Most books arrive within 1-2 weeks.
