Core Writing Instructor Guide: Instruction Request Form

This guide is intended for instructors teaching classes in the Core Writing Department

Library Instruction Overview

We are happy to work with you to design one or more sessions to support your course goals and improve your students' information literacy skills.

A typical instruction session will include chunked direct instruction and individual practice time. A variety of activities and technologies may be included.

For a successful session please review the following guidelines:

  • Submit your request for instruction at least one week in advance of your desired date - earlier if possible as the computer labs book quickly.
  • Sessions are particularly helpful at the beginning of the research process
  • Plan on attending the session
  • Maintain open communication with the librarian assigned to teach your session

If you have any questions about whether you should use this form, or general library instruction questions, contact Tati Mesfin.
