3D Services: 3D Modeling Software

This guide offers information about DeLaMare Library's 3D scanning, modeling, and printing services and resources. Don't hesitate to contact us for more information at any time!

Software and Location

The University Libraries provide access for UNR staff, students, and faculty to several software programs which can be used to create 3D files, including .stl's and .vrml's.  Below you'll find 3D modeling software availability for both DeLaMare Library.

Public Community Members: We recommend the freely available 3D modeling program, OnShape.

Kids Software: We recommend getting kids started with the freely available 3D modeling program, Tinkercad

 DeLaMare Dataworks Computer Lab : Located in DeLaMare Basement

Each work station is equipped with a 3D mouse

Resources to Learn 3D Modeling

You can make a free appointment with a Tech Wrangler to get started learning either Solidworks or OnShape.
