University Libraries Alternative Operations Notice
The Libraries are open, but our fall semester hours have changed. Check the department website (or call) for availability of specific services and resources. For the safety of all users, face coverings must be worn in the building at all times.
In 2013, the University Libraries, in collaboration with LYRASIS and the Internet Archive, digitized the entire run of the Artemesia.
The Internet Archive, founded in 1996, is a non-profit resource offering permanent access for researchers, historians, scholars, people with disabilities, and the general public to historical collections that exist in digital format.
LYRASIS is a non-profit membership organization that offers member libraries and cultural heritage organizations the opportunity to contribute materials to a regional mass digitization project. The LYRASIS Digitization Collaborative is funded by the LYRASIS membership and supported in part through a grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
The University Libraries acknowledge the efforts of the LYRASIS staff and the financial support of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation in making the Artemesia available online.
The Artemisia yearbook was published from 1899 through 2008, providing photographic documentation of the people and events shaping the history of the University of Nevada, Reno. No Artemisias were published in 1895-98; 1906-07; 1909-12; 1915-16; 2000.
The links below will take you to individual issues in the Internet Archive. Use the white "search inside" icon to the right of the yearbook to find a name, word or phrase.
To search by name or keyword through all the issues, use the search box in the left column of the Artemisia collectionpage.
