Other Campus Libraries

In addition to the Knowledge Center, there are several other libraries on campus that house unique resources and materials

DeLaMare Library The DeLaMare Library at the University of Nevada Reno is located in the Mackay Mines Building at the north end of the Quad. On four floors, it houses library materials in the fields of earth sciences, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, geological, mechanical, metallurgical, and mining engineering; chemistry, physics and computer science. The Ansari Map Library is also located in the Mackay Mines Building and is the largest map collection in Nevada, containing more than 140,000 maps.

Savitt Medical Library The Savitt Medical Library is the only academic medical library in the state and its primary focus for resources and services is the School of Medicine's Students, resident physicians, faculty, staff and its many programs. The library also serves many constituencies in Nevada, under our designation by the National Library of Medicine as the Resource Library for health information in Nevada.

Basque Library

Basque Library The Basque Library houses materials and information on all things pertaining to the Basque people. The extensive Basque library collection is available to all students and community members. The library is located on the third floor of the University's Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center.

Learning and Resource Center The function of the Nell J Redfield Learning and Resource Center, commonly known as the LRC, is to provide a variety of resources to educators, university students, teachers, and counselors. The services provided include instructional support and curriculum enrichment. Students and faculty at the university, as well as teachers, administrators, and counselors in surrounding school districts, are invited to use the center's resources.
