About

StatsChats is an informal, weekly gathering where you can bring any quantitative questions related to your research. Attendance is flexible—come whenever you can, and the more people who join, the better the discussions!  Participants have reported that, after receiving feedback from the group, they were able to progress through their projects more quickly and with greater confidence.

  • Who? Everyone is welcome, whether you're looking to improve your quantitative skills or share your expertise. Faculty are encouraged to participate in any capacity!

  • What? We cover a wide range of topics, including Statistics, Experimental Design, Model Simulation & Analysis, Debugging R code, and more. If it's quantitative, it's fair game! If you’re seeking feedback on a project, we encourage you to bring a well-formed question (or two) to make the most of our time together. We also occasionally host informational sessions on various topics, which will be announced on this site. Have a topic in mind? Let us know!

  • When? Fall 2024: Tuesdays 12-1pm

  • Where? The Lilli Brant reading room at the DeLaMare Science and Engineering Library (Third floor).
